New Octadecagon Focus Softbox Para Parabolic Softbox Series in the Quadralite Range

New in the Quadralite range! Discover the new series of parabolic softboxes – Octadecagon Focus Softbox Para.

For the first time, Quadralite is introducing parabolic modifiers to its range. The new Octadecagon Focus Softbox Para series is intended for anyone who needs a high degree of control over light. Precision is achieved through a deep, near-circular parabolic bowl and a system that allows the light to be focused. This type of modifier construction provides much greater control and direction of the light beam.

The parabolic shape of the modifier produces distinctive light – smooth tonal transitions, attractive contrast and easy control over the focus of the beam. When the light source is positioned deep inside the modifier, the reflected rays are stretched into a focused, narrow beam with strong contrast. Moving the light source away from the interior of the bowl toward its edge causes the reflected rays to spread, making the light softer and less contrasty. As a result, the Octadecagon Focus Softbox Para can produce several different lighting characteristics and can successfully replace a number of other modifiers.
