Quadralite Transmitter Navigator X Plus CanonProduct description
Navigator X Plus is a transmitter for the Quadralite Navigator X radio system that enables remote control of flash units. In addition to manual flash-power adjustment (M), it supports automatic TTL metering and High-Speed Sync (HSS). It also offers first- and second-curtain synchronization and remote control of stroboscopic (Multi) mode.
Navigator X Plus combines the strengths of the two previously introduced generations of Navigator X transmitters. Despite its compact housing, it incorporates nearly all functions known from the X2 model while adding new ones.
Another improvement over its predecessor is the set of five buttons (A, B, C, D, E) on the housing, providing direct access to five flash groups. This makes it faster to reach the settings of a specific group and streamlines work on set. Flash-power adjustment has also been refined and can now be set with precision down to 0.1 EV. The transmitter menu additionally includes a function for scanning communication channels and finding those with the least radio interference, improving the stability of both the flashes and the transmitter.
The control dial and almost all buttons are positioned on the left side of the housing, so you do not need to remove your right hand from the camera to change lighting power. A hot shoe on the top panel allows another radio-system transmitter, such as the Quadralite Navigator Kit, to be mounted and used together with Navigator X Plus. An LED on the front assists the camera’s autofocus system and is particularly useful in low-light conditions, both in the studio and on location. The camera connection has been improved with a locking shoe mechanism for quick mounting and removal. The side panel includes a USB-C port for firmware updates and a wired sync port that can both receive and output a synchronization signal. The transmitter is powered by two AA batteries.
Navigator X Plus should also work correctly with other cameras not listed in the table above. If a particular model is not included, compatibility should be tested before purchasing the Navigator X Plus.
For the Fujifilm system, cameras are divided into three groups according to their level of compatibility; their functionality is described in the table below.
